Recap: Belpre Christian Academy Patriots vs. Ignite Athletics Flames
The Belpre Christian Academy Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 26 points or more this season. They breezed by Ignite Athletics on the road to the tune of 56-26. Winning may never get old, but Belpre Christian Academy sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Several Flames players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Charlie Hanks, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds. Hanks scored a full 34.6% of Ignite Athletics' points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Trevor Bailey was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with ten rebounds.
Belpre Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Ignite Athletics, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Belpre Christian Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Varsity Opponent at 6:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. As for Ignite Athletics, they will head out on the road to face off against Expression Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Expression Prep Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Ignite Athletics likes a good challenge.
