Preview: Roseville Tigers vs. Yuba City Honkers
Roseville has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Yuba City Honkers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Yuba City took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Roseville, who comes in off a win.
In what's become a running theme this season, Roseville gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They breezed by River Valley at home to the tune of 82-40. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Roseville has posted since December 15, 2023.
Roseville can attribute much of their success to Gannon Connors, who scored 24 points along with six rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Connors has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Clark Nielsen, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Yuba City's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 96-60 defeat at the hands of Inderkum. Yuba City was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-19.
Roseville's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Yuba City, they bumped their record down to 7-11 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Roseville skirted past Yuba City 65-62 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Roseville since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
