Shelby fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Upper Sandusky on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Rams by a score of 3-1. The Whippets' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Shelby's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Upper Sandusky, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Shelby does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Upper Sandusky, they will take on Elida at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rams 3.1, the Bulldogs 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
