Basketball Recap: Columbus Comes Up Short

After flying high against Waterloo last Saturday, Columbus came back down to earth. The Columbus Cardinals took a blow against the Lakeside Lutheran Warriors on Friday, falling 72-39. The match marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Columbus has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Lakeside Lutheran, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbus will head out to challenge Lake Country Lutheran at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Lake Country Lutheran's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Lakeside Lutheran, they will venture away from home to square off against Stoughton at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
