Hanover has no trouble against Onaga

Recap: Hanover Wildcats vs. Onaga Buffaloes

The Hanover Wildcats won the last time they faced the Onaga Buffaloes, and things went their way on Monday too. Hanover strolled past Onaga with points to spare, taking the game 55-39. Given Hanover's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while Onaga is ranked 263rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the defeat, Onaga saw an underclassman step up: Jadyn Haskin scored 17 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Haskin has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Bridgett Campbell, who scored five points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Even though they lost, Onaga smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Hanover has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Onaga, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.

Hanover's road trip will continue as they head out to face Frankfort on January 17th. Frankfort will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Onaga, they will face off against Blue Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
