After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Middle Park, West Grand was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Soroco Rams by a score of 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won five in a row.

West Grand got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-14, 30-32, 25-23.

Brooke Terryberry paced West Grand's offense, picking up nine kills. Terryberry got some help from Matti Hayes and her 16 assists. Brooke James controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

West Grand's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Soroco, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. West Grand will take on rival De Beque at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Soroco is set to face off against their familiar foe Vail Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
