Softball Recap: Howell North Knights vs. Winfield Warriors
Howell North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Winfield Warriors, falling 13-3. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2019.
Howell North's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Winfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

As for Winfield, they will challenge St. Charles West at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Winfield's pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so St. Charles West's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
