Basketball Recap: Animas Comes Up Short

Animas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a blow against the Reserve Mountaineers, falling 54-20. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Haley Elias and Journey Sheehan, who each put up seven points. Sheehan also led the team in rebounds with seven.

Animas' defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Reserve, their record is now 12-10.

Animas didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-23 loss against Cliff on the 18th. As for Reserve, they have also already played their next match, a 36-33 defeat against Magdalena on the 18th.
