Softball Recap: Potosi Drops Season-High Score on Licking

Potosi had lost five games on the road dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 5-7 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 26-17 margin over the Licking Wildcats. The Trojans' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

As for Licking, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-6. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (ten), they still had to take the loss.

For Licking's part, Allie Medlock made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI. Those doubles were Medlock's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alaina Rogers, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one double.

Potosi will have a chance to go back-to-back against Licking: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
