Baseball Game Preview: Alcoa Tornadoes vs. Eagleton College & Career Academy Royals

For the second straight game, Alcoa will face off against Eagleton College & Career Academy. The Tornadoes will take on the Royals at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Alcoa's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Eagleton College & Career Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Alcoa is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Eagleton College & Career Academy 20-1 on Monday. The Tornadoes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by six runs or more this season.

Aden Orrick made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also big at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Bleau Kennedy and Myles Cox did most of the damage at the plate: Kennedy scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Cox scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-1. Those two stolen bases gave Cox a new career-high. Kyler Clark was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Alcoa has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Eagleton College & Career Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-8-1.
