Recap: Greene County Tigers vs. Marion Rams

This season hasn't been kind to the Greene County Tigers, who are still winless after their 11th matchup. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Marion an easy 43-20 victory. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Greene County has scored all season.

Greene County lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lester Scott, who scored four points along with six rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Egan Daley, who scored five points along with five rebounds.

Even though they lost, Greene County were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. This was only their eighth loss (out of eight games) when they hit their own glass that hard.

Greene County's loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-11. As for Marion, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greene County will square off against Linden at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Linden comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Marion, they will head out on the road to face off against Selma at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
