Skyline had won five straight games and Zayden Burks did his part to make it six on Friday. The Hawks walked away with a 43-33 victory over the Meridian Mustangs thanks in part to Burks, who rushed for 335 yards and two scores while picking up 12.4 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 124 rushing yards.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Skyline, racking up 11 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Burks, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Skyline's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Meridian, they dropped their record down to 4-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
