Basketball Recap: Castine Christian Victorious

Castine Christian won the last time they faced Bowling Green Christian Academy and things went their way on Saturday too. Castine Christian managed a 47-41 victory over the Bowling Green Christian Academy Lions.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josh Kunstmann, who went 8 for 11 on his way to 16 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Kunstmann is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Trent Thompson was another key player, putting up eight points along with six rebounds and six steals.

Castine Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.4 points per game. As for Bowling Green Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-10.

Castine Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bowling Green Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 46-43 win against Horizon Science Academy on the 4th.
