Baseball Recap: Coronado Takes a Loss

After flying high against Harrison last Thursday, Coronado came back down to earth. The Cougars came up short against The Classical Academy Titans on Saturday, falling 17-4. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 15-0 to the Titans when the teams met back in March of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Coronado saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Turner Whitney, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one triple.

Coronado's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for The Classical Academy, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2.

Coming up, Coronado will challenge Palmer at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Terrors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.15 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for The Classical Academy, they will take on Sierra at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
