Baseball Recap: Hamilton Victorious

Hamilton got themselves on the board against Plumas Charter on Wednesday, but Plumas Charter never followed suit. They walked away with a 3-0 win over the Warriors. For the Braves, this counts as revenge for the 15-3 victory the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2025.

Austin 'Stewy' Studybaker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over 5.1 innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Patrick Matthews, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Those RBI were his first of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Hamilton and bumps their season record up to 2-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Plumas Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
