Preview: Advanced Tech Academy Lakers vs. Trillium Academy
Advanced Tech Academy is 0-4 against Trillium Academy since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Advanced Tech Academy Lakers will be home for the holidays to greet Trillium Academy at 6:00 p.m. Advanced Tech Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 343rd, while Trillium Academy is ranked 76th).
Advanced Tech Academy waltzed into their match Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Star International Academy by a score of 52-45.
Meanwhile, Trillium Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They received a tough blow as they fell 73-55 to Richard. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Trillium Academy has scored all season.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Keymarryon Fishburn, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds. Those 12 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Sharone Russ was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with four steals.
Advanced Tech Academy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Trillium Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-1.
Advanced Tech Academy was taken down by Trillium Academy 58-19 in their previous matchup back in February. Thankfully for Advanced Tech Academy, DaMaryon Fishburn (who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and six steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
