Football Recap: Chaparral Starts Season with Victory at Home + How To Watch

Chaparral took care of business in their home opener on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Grandview Wolves a 19-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolverines also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Zoey Fink looked great while leading her team to the win, throwing for 164 yards and three TDs, while also rushing for 31 yards.

Chaparral didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Sutton Persichina and Chloe Petrillo.

This is the second loss in a row for Grandview and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Chaparral didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-0 win against Cherokee Trail on the 30th. As for Grandview, they have also already played their next matchup, a 14-13 defeat against Legend on the 2nd.
