Football Recap: Chaparral Starts Season with Win Against Grandview + How To Watch

Chaparral gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Grandview Wolves a 19-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Wolverines, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Chaparral found their leader in sophomore Zoey Fink, who threw for 164 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 31 yards.

Chaparral didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Sutton Persichina and Chloe Petrillo.

Grandview now has a losing record of 1-2.

Chaparral has already played their next match, a 55-0 victory against Cherokee Trail on the 30th. As for Grandview, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 14-13 defeat against Legend on the 2nd.
