            Basketball Recap: Cunningham Wildcats vs. Bucklin Red Aces        
        
		
        
        
            Cunningham and Bucklin squared off in some playoff action  on Saturday, but Cunningham had to settle for second. They were dealt  a  67-25 defeat at the hands of the Bucklin Red Aces. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Aces apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in February of 2019.
  Emmy Kirk continued  her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bucklin,  almost  dropping  a double-double with 17  points and nine  assists. Kirk's morning made it four games in a row in which  she has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was  Karlee Evans, who  went 6-for-10  on her way to 15 points and six  boards.
Cunningham has  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record  this season. The  win was  the 16th in a row for Bucklin, bringing their record for this year to 18-3.
 Cunningham does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bucklin, they will be playing at home against Ashland  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Ashland has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
