Basketball Recap: Mortimer Jordan Comes Up Short

Mortimer Jordan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 70-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Springville Tigers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-60 back in November of 2024.

Mortimer Jordan's defeat dropped their record down to 9-17. As for Springville, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mortimer Jordan will venture away from home to challenge Corner at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Corner's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. Springville has already played their next matchup (against Glencoe), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
