The loss continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Buccaneers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Hutchison's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Valdez, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Valdez beat Hutchison by a score of 58-53 on Friday.
