Bishop Carroll had lost five straight at home, but on Monday they dropped down to 3-14 to make it six. They came up short against the Richland Rams, falling 16-0. If the Huskies were looking for revenge after losing 13-2 to the Rams when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Player #7 was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Player #7 was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Player #23 and Player #2 did some serious damage despite the final result: Player #23 went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs, while Player #2 went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Player #3, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
As for Richland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-4. Considering they have won seven matchups by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Like Bishop Carroll, Richland also got a great game from a two-way player: Maddox Vojtko. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Vojtko was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Richland is undefeated when Vojtko posts two or more runs, but 3-4 otherwise.
In other batting news, Richland let Ryan Ozog and Caden Robertson run wild. Ozog went 2-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base, while Robertson went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Robertson has posted since back in March. Jake Regan was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
Bishop Carroll has already played their next contest, a 9-5 defeat against Central Cambria on the 7th. As for Richland, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-3 victory against Greater Johnstown on the 5th.
