Heritage and Merritt Island Christian are an even 3-3 against one another since October of 2017, but not for long. The Panthers will head out to challenge the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Heritage will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Heritage will bounce into Thursday's match after beating West Shore, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Panthers skirted past the Wildcats 3-2.

Heritage had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 14-25, 25-17, 25-20, 15-7.

Meanwhile, Merritt Island Christian lost 3-0 to Melbourne on Tuesday. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Merritt Island Christian was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-14, 25-15.

Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Merritt Island Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 3-15.

Heritage couldn't quite get it done against Merritt Island Christian in their previous meeting back in September of 2023 as they fell 3-1. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
