Football Recap: Douglass Comes Up Short

Douglass and Edmondson-Westside pushed the score to 66-0 the last time they played Edmondson-Westside, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Mighty Ducks took a 16-0 bruising from the Red Storm. The Mighty Ducks lost against the Red Storm in their previous head to head back in September of 2019, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 66-0 score last time.

Douglass' loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Edmondson-Westside, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

When Douglass and Edmondson-Westside next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Mighty Ducks will face off against Carver Vo-Tech and their four-game winning streak at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Edmondson-Westside will try to stop Forest Park's four-game winning streak when they meet at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
