Darlington extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Ruthie Brinson. The Tigers came out on top against the Model Blue Devils by a score of 2-0 on Saturday with plenty of help from Brinson, who had eight kills. She is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had seven or more in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 30-28, 25-23.

Darlington's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Model, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Looking ahead, Darlington will head out on the road to face off against Pepperell at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Model, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Coosa on the 9th.
