Baseball Recap: River Valley Comes Up Short

After soaring to ten runs the game before, River Valley was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They lost 16-1 to the Michigan Lutheran Titans. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Mustangs have suffered against the Titans since June 3, 2023.

River Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Michigan Lutheran, the win got them back to even at 11-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. River Valley will face off against Eau Claire at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs are facing the Beavers at the right time seeing as the Beavers are stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for Michigan Lutheran, they will head out to take on Our Lady of the Lake Catholic at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Titans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lakers have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
