Baseball Recap: Valley View Comes Up Short

Valley View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 7-1 to the Callisburg Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 last Tuesday.

Valley View saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Solomon Saavedra, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That RBI was Saavedra's first of the season.

Valley View's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Callisburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Valley View will welcome Paradise at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Callisburg, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Callisburg Wildcats challenge Pilot Point Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
