The Darlington Falcons will challenge the West Florence Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Darlington 3.9, West Florence 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Darlington lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Wilson, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's contest. Darlington put the hurt on Wilson with a sharp 12-2 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won four matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Carly Gainey and Zaria Mack did most of the damage at the plate: Gainey scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Mack scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Those three runs gave Mack a new career-high. Kee Key Bacote was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for West Florence, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Sumter 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Gamecocks: they've now won three in a row.
Annie Ruth Eliason spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, West Florence saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tolsyn Lynch, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Hannah Marsik also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Darlington pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for West Florence, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
