Softball Recap: Yazoo City Comes Up Short

Yazoo City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Yazoo County Panthers, falling 22-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in March.

Yazoo City's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Yazoo County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Yazoo County beat Yazoo City by a score of 22-0 on Friday.
