Volleyball Recap: St. John Paul II Lions vs. Bourne Canalmen        
        
		
             After flying high against Monomoy  last Wednesday, St. John Paul II came back down to earth. The St. John Paul II Lions came up short against  the Bourne Canalmen on Thursday, falling  3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the  3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in September.
 The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-19,  25-14.
 St. John Paul II's offense was headlined by 
 Isabel Linnell and 
 Ava Czech, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from 
 Zlata Alioshka and her seven assists. Czech was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with four aces.
 Among those leading the charge was   Avery Morrill, who  had 15  digs.
 St. John Paul II's defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 12-10. As for Bourne, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won eight of their last ten games,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record  this season.
 St. John Paul II does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bourne has already played their next match,  a  3-2  loss against Duxbury on the 25th.
