Softball Recap: Springfield's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Springfield entered their tilt with Napoleon on Wednesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Wildcats. The Blue Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Springfield's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-8. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Napoleon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13-1 record this season.
