Basketball Recap: Westwood Takes a Loss

Westwood was the 39-30 winner over Bridgewater-Raynham when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Westwood Wolverines fell just short of the Bridgewater-Raynham Trojans by a score of 39-37 on Thursday. While the Wolverines didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Trojans 14-9 in the first quarter.

Westwood's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Bridgewater-Raynham, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westwood won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Ashland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bridgewater-Raynham, they are taking a road trip to take on Apponequet Regional at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
