Soccer Game Preview: Seguin vs. Fox Tech

The Seguin Matadors will face off against the Fox Tech Buffaloes at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Seguin will be strutting in after a win while Fox Tech will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Seguin turned things around against Sam Houston on Tuesday. They never let the Hurricanes get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Considering Seguin's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, Fox Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Jefferson.

Fox Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Seguin, their win bumped their record up to 2-5-1.

Seguin came out on top in a nail-biter against Fox Tech when the teams last played back in February of 2025, sneaking past 1-0. Do the Matadors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Buffaloes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
