Softball Recap: Tupelo Comes Up Short

Tupelo lost against Germantown back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tupelo Golden Wave lost 14-4 to the Germantown Mavericks.

Tupelo's defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Germantown, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Tupelo will be playing at home against West Union at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Tupelo has given up an average of 8.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Germantown, they will head out to face off against Starkville at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
