Volleyball Recap: St. Henry's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Six + How To Watch

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only St. Henry walked away with it. They blew past the Fort Recovery Indians 3-0 on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for the Redskins as they're now sitting on six straight.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-3, 25-8.

Leading St. Henry to victory were Morgan Baumer and Alexis Buschur. Baumer had 13 digs and four aces, while Buschur had seven digs and three aces. That's the most aces Buschur has posted since back in September.

Despite the loss, Fort Recovery saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kayla Gaerke had ten digs and one assist. Gaerke is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played.

St. Henry's win bumped their record up to 22-5. As for Fort Recovery, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five matches and leaves them with a 14-13 record.

Coming up, St. Henry will face off against Independence at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fort Recovery does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
