Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Montgomery Academy). They came out on top in a nail-biter against Carroll on Thursday, sneaking past 9-8. This was a revenge game for Montgomery Academy: when they faced off against Carroll back in March, they had to take a 10-8 defeat.

Montgomery Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-15. As for Carroll, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-17.

Looking ahead, Montgomery Academy will square off against Verbena at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles are facing the Red Devils at the right time seeing as the Red Devils are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Carroll, they will host Daleville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warhawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.64 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
