Baseball Recap: Groton School Takes a Loss

Groton School was the 3-0 winner over Milton Academy when they last played one another last Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. Groton School fell just short of Milton Academy by a score of 3-2 on Saturday.

Wesley DiModica made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base. That home run was his first of the season. Cam Cirone was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases.

Groton School's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Milton Academy, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Groton School is set to face off against their familiar foe Lawrence Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Milton Academy will challenge rival Noble & Greenough at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
