Basketball Recap: Henryville Comes Up Short

Henryville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 62-52 to the Clarksville Generals. If the Hornets were looking for revenge after losing 44-36 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Leading Clarksville to victory were Ray McClendon and Josh Hall. McClendon went 9 of 18 en route to 26 points and seven rebounds, while Hall dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which McClendon has scored at least a third of Clarksville's points. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Freeman, who posted seven points and five rebounds.

Henryville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Clarksville, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Henryville will take on Providence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Clarksville, they will challenge Crothersville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
