Baseball Recap: Hickory Flat Drops Highest Score of Season Against Horn Lake

Hickory Flat was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 13-2 to the Horn Lake Eagles. One positive for the Rebels, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Hickory Flat's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Horn Lake, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hickory Flat will take on Mantachie at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mantachie has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed nine runs per game on average), something Hickory Flat will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Horn Lake, they will challenge Hernando at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hernando will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
