Basketball Game Preview: DeSoto Eagles vs. Horn Jaguars

The DeSoto Eagles will head out to take on the Horn Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

DeSoto will head into Friday's game eager for some revenge after what happened against Wylie: DeSoto blew Wylie out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Wylie got their revenge. DeSoto fell just short of Wylie by a score of 53-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Eagles have suffered since November 27th.

Meanwhile, Horn lost to Sachse on the road by a 55-37 margin on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 268th, while the Mustangs are ranked 38th).

Horn has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season. As for DeSoto, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.

DeSoto didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Horn when the teams last played back in December of 2015, but they still walked away with a 48-44 victory. Does DeSoto have another victory up their sleeve, or will Horn turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
