Springville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-42 heartbreaker at the hands of the Timpview Thunderbirds. The Red Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Thunderbirds apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Several Red Devils players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Millie Thompson, who went 5 of 10 en route to 11 points and five rebounds. Sami DeLlamas also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Even though they lost, Springville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Timpview only pulled down five offensive boards.

Lina Ballin continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Timpview, going 7 for 15 on her way to 18 points. Ballin is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Leah Atuaia, who posted six points.

Springville's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Timpview, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Springville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 62-55 defeat against Salem Hills on the 10th. Timpview has also already played their next contest, a 72-66 loss against Wasatch on the 10th.
