Volleyball Recap: Carlsbad Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

Carlsbad not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 4th. They put the hurt on the San Dieguito Academy Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Lancers haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-21, 25-18.

Roman Payne paced Carlsbad's offense, picking up 12 kills. Payne got some help from Ben Sauerwine and his 40 assists. Derek Bashford controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Carlsbad's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-2. As for San Dieguito Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Carlsbad will face off against Dana Hills at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for San Dieguito Academy, they will challenge Sage Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be San Dieguito Academy's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
