Basketball Game Preview: Jersey Shore Bulldogs vs. Loyalsock Township Lancers

Jersey Shore hasn't had much luck against Loyalsock Township recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Jersey Shore Bulldogs will face off against the Loyalsock Township Lancers at 6:00 p.m. Jersey Shore is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.2 points per game this season.

Last Monday, Jersey Shore was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 56-51 to Loyalsock Township. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 139th, while the Lancers are ranked 23rd).

Jersey Shore might have lost, but man, Peyton Dincher was a machine: she went 6-for-15 en route to 20 points and five boards. Kylie Schall was another key player, putting up 11 points.

The victory was the 13th in a row for Loyalsock Township, bringing their record for this year to 21-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points over those games. As for Jersey Shore, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-6.
