Volleyball Recap: Western Hills Wins High-Profile Match Against Paul Laurence Dunbar

Western Hills faced Paul Laurence Dunbar in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Wolverines were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bulldogs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolverines.

Western Hills was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-15, 26-24.

Max Gleason paced Western Hills' offense, picking up 12 kills. Gleason got some help from Shiv Patel and his 23 assists. Carson Wallace controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Western Hills' victory bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Paul Laurence Dunbar, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Western Hills will take on rival Franklin County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Paul Laurence Dunbar is set to face off against their familiar foe Bryan Station at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
