Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Point Loma walked away with it. They came out on top against the Legacy Tigers by a score of 4-1 on Saturday. The victory was familiar territory for the Pointers, who have now won seven contests in a row.

Ella Poulin made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one triple.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Siena Balistreri, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Annika Isaacson, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Point Loma pushed their record up to 28-6-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Legacy, their loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 26-8.

As of now, neither Point Loma nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
