The LaBrae Vikings will venture away from home to square off against the Ursuline Fighting Irish at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. LaBrae is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.

LaBrae is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 19 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Lakeview on Thursday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.

LaBrae saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Simpson, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Ursuline also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to John F. Kennedy Catholic by a score of 6-1.

Ursuline has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season. As for LaBrae, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.

LaBrae couldn't quite finish off Ursuline when the teams last played back in April of 2022 and fell 5-3. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
