Baseball Recap: Fredericksburg Takes a Loss

Fredericksburg and Davenport pushed the score to 12-11 the last time they played Davenport, but on Tuesday defenses reigned supreme. The Billies fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 3-1. The contest marked the Billies' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Harrison Langford spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on six hits.

With the loss, Fredericksburg broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-5. As for Davenport, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3-2 record this season.

While Fredericksburg had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
