Basketball Game Preview: Denison-Schleswig Monarchs vs. Atlantic Trojans

The Denison-Schleswig Monarchs will challenge the Atlantic Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Denison-Schleswig is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Denison-Schleswig was beaten by Glenwood 92-50. While losing is never fun, the Monarchs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 296th, while the Rams are ranked 71st).

Meanwhile, Atlantic beat Lenox 51-43 on Friday.

Denison-Schleswig's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Atlantic, their victory bumped their record up to 5-16.

Denison-Schleswig didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Atlantic in their previous matchup last Friday, but they still walked away with a 55-49 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Denison-Schleswig since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
