Baseball Recap: Bozeman Comes Up Short

Bozeman and Trinity Christian Academy squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Bozeman had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Conquerors by a score of 10-9. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Bucks, who until this game were averaging 3.62 runs allowed.

Lakota Johnson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Cash Zirkle was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Bozeman dropped their record down to 26-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Trinity Christian Academy, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 29-4.

Bozeman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Berkeley Prep at 10:00 a.m. on the 20th. The Buccaneers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Conquerors' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
