Softball Recap: Passaic County Tech Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Passaic County Tech barely beat Clifton the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs blew past the Mustangs 8-2 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was Passaic County Tech's third in a row) raised their record to 7-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Clifton, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-2-1 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Passaic County Tech will welcome Fair Lawn at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cutters have averaged an impressive 11.4 runs per game this season. As for Clifton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Paramus Catholic at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Knght Paladins' pitching crew has only allowed 0.2 runs per game this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
