Preview: Olympian vs. Chula Vista
The Olympian Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Chula Vista Spartans at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Olympian's last six games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Olympian has not lost a match since January 5th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged Montgomery out 2-1. That's two games straight that Olympian has won by exactly one goal.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Diego Valles and
Dylan Loe, who scored both of Olympian's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 16 so far this season.
Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 2-2 at halftime, Chula Vista was not quite Bonita Vista's equal in the second half on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Barons by a score of 4-3.
Olympian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-4-6 record this season. As for Chula Vista, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9-6 record this season.
